My husband and I are owned by two cats, Gary and Maki. We adopted them from local shelters and they have filled our lives with love, laughter, and the occasional biological mess. Each of these felines has a distinctive personality that we appreciate daily.
Gary
Our VERY opinionated grey and white beast. He loves my husband and tolerates me. I’m more of his minion and food source. He likes to spend his days yelling at me to open a closet door, raise a window shade, or feed him.
He keeps me in check by lying across my computer keyboard if I’m up too late though. That’s his way of telling me it’s time for bed. So, he can be sweet when he wants to be. However, don’t be fooled when he shows you his belly. It’s a murder mittens trap!

Maki

This orange and white kitty is a massive sweetheart and loves to lounge on laps. He has a superpower of jumping onto your lap just when you are thinking about getting up. We originally tried to call him Stanely, but he never responded to it.
One day, my husband’s niece stated he looked like a caramel macchiato. His ears perked up, and he looked right at us! After some trial-and-error testing, we discovered he prefers to be called Maki. He is a love bug and enjoys belly rubs but really dislikes being picked up (no idea why).
